Happy New Year, everyone! As we stand at the threshold of a brand-new chapter, there is such a beautiful electricity in the air, isn't there? I wanted to kick things off here by talking about the magic of New Year’s resolutions. Rather than seeing them as chores, let’s view our goals as a joyful springboard! Resolutions are really just a formal way of saying, "I believe in a brighter version of tomorrow." Whether you’re diving into a new hobby over in the Side Quest or simply committing to...
Thread 'Review: Tito's Vodka'
Let me put on my "Josie Wales" hat ... Well now I reckon you want to hear about this spirit they call Tito’s. Pull up a chair, but don't get too comfortable. The Word on the Trail (The Backstory) Now, I’ve seen a lot of men try to sell a dream in a bottle, but this fella Bert “Tito” Beveridge… he’s got iron in his words. Back in the mid-90s down in Austin, Texas, he was just a man with a degree in geology and a heap of bad luck in the mortgage trade. But when things look bad, you gotta...
Thread 'Feliz Navidad'
HAPPY FUCKING CHRISTMAS ... AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT !!!
There are rules that state how and when a non Us entity may enter the US. Laws are laws. This asshole announces he WILL not enforce US law and calls it immoral. And then slobbers about some "public need" to ensure criminals are helped just like others to provide some sort of umbrella effect for legal folks. Fuck him, AND fuck reddit too for being a festering sewer of ANTI-American values. Not in the US legally? Fuck off. Get the fuck out. Shitter's full. We have enough...
Thread 'Alabama doubles down on penalties while ignoring why people steal'
As holiday deliveries pile up, Alabama has decided the answer to stolen packages is not less inequality or actual economic support, but a new law that turns repeated package theft into a felony, carrying up to 10 years in prison. Nothing says "community safety" like throwing people in cages for grabbing a box when they couldn't otherwise feed their kids, or expecting them to pay attention to penalties when they can barely afford to exist. — Read the rest The post Alabama doubles down on...
This is the hill I'm dying on. The bible got one right. It's absolutely true. Any crime/murder investigator would attest to the importance of following the money. Money is great. It's necessary in fact. But when you love it....the results are never good for society. I won't die on this hill but I ask a question: Is there a single billionaire who doesn't love money?
Google defines the Manosphere as, "an umbrella term for a loose network of online communities, influencers, and platforms that promote antifeminist, misogynistic, and male-supremacist ideologies. These communities generally cultivate a worldview that blames women and feminism for men's problems and societal ills." I define it as a group of fucking degenerate super-losers using the obvious fact that they need therapy to somehow magically pretend they are therapists.
I got a son. He's literally the best of both of his parents and then some. And by 'then some', I mean he's also a troll like his step-dad. (Heh.) Smart like his mom, Funny like his dad; he even picked a wife that me and my wife adore and respect. I say I'm proud of him....what I really mean is that I feel fortunate to have been there watching him grow into what he is. I'm excited to see what follows in life for him. I have the highest confidence, though. He's going to be a great dad someday.
Let’s be honest. If the Democratic playbook had a title, it would be The Art of the Perpetual Grievance. It’s a tedious, high-pitched whine that never seems to turn down, no matter what happens. They trot out the same stale arguments, the same hand-wringing over "norms" they conveniently ignore when they're in power, and the same absolute certainty that anyone who disagrees with them is either a mouth-breathing troglodyte or a foreign agent. The performative outrage has become so...
Thread 'Right as Dr. Oz mentions sleep, Donald Trump falls asleep on live TV (video)'
As Dr. Mehmet Oz stood in the Oval Office talking about dementia, obesity, and sleep, the addled, larger-than-a-baby Donald Trump could be seen napping soundly in his padded leather seat. (See video below, posted by Gov. Gavin Newsom's @GovPressOffice account.) "People can sleep again, because they can breathe when they go to bed," Dr. — Read the rest The post Right as Dr. Oz mentions sleep, Donald Trump falls asleep on live TV (video) appeared first on Boing Boing.
