I am really disappointed in how this all has been handled.
The immigration issue was something I thought was FINALLY going to be taken care of properly. Public sentiment to the expanded enforcement actions, closing of the border and other actions was poised to be very positive because Biden, and previous presidents, fucked it up in real time for the last 50 years. I am VERY VERY anti illegal immigration, while I am also very interested in having a properly funded enforcement AND adjudication system so that due process can take place. (due process for an illegal is not the same thing as another person gets in the US legal system, look it up for yourself if you want to know more.)
But the ham fisted methods from quickly hired agents with little real world training was doomed from the start. You can not put people in the field that have never worked together, shooting a suspect that was on the ground while your fellow officers are standing near by is clearly a rookie move. It happens though. Chaos adds to the problem.
Goode and Pretti are not the angels the reddit goons claim them to have been. But They SHOULD STILL BE ALIVE though, should not have died for their actions. Both shootings were failings by Law enforcement from controlling crowds while ICE were active in the area and by poorly trained or overly aggressive ICE agents. Crowds SHOULD NEVER be allowed to hound and impede law enforcement while a policing action is taking place. NEVER, And yet it still is an ongoing thing that until recently was being allowed to happen by Minnesota officials.

Is gonna Trump. He's a moron that bloviates. There really isn't a sane way to expect change from him, he's gonna be an Orange menace for the next few years. No getting around it. With his near imperial presidential powers there is not really a sane way to see him being forced to change either.
Stephen Miller
Is the architect that is the chief injector of chaos in these matters. His insistence on "mandatory daily numbers" of arrested illegals is what directly led to the primary issues of platoons of masked, under identified, ICE agents acting like goon squads.
Kristi Noem
She is the mouth-piece that is fanning the flames the most, because she makes baseless claims within minutes of the two events. That was dumb. I have no confidence in her ability to run a department like DHS. She's too subservient to Miller. Not something a Chief of department should be.

Hyped up gonk that needs a time out. Dude is too roid-raged to be running an agency of ARMED law enforcement personnel.
Tom Homan
I, mostly, agree with his approach. He is the professional in the room.
ICE needs to pull back off the streets, stay in fortified Federal locations and do daily runs to arrest known illegals WITH LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT help. Local political leaders MUST help ICE by assigning policing to them. The FEDERAL government should give BLOCK GRANTS to pay for this in a timely manner. No more of these roving bands of masked agents. It MUST be supported by local police. Local police MUST do crowd control to alleviate these random morons getting in the face of ICE officers. Local police are short staffed, and if that means fewer ICE raids then so be it.
